Services
As a Labor Assistant, I strive to serve the educational and emotional needs of each family, as well as their physical needs. The prenatal visits provide us with the opportunity to discuss your personal needs and fears about birth. They also allow us to become better aquainted so that we effectively work as a birth team. My complete package includes, but is not limited to:
~2 prenatal visits that last at least one hour
~Assistance creating a custom Birth Plan
~Lending library of books and videos
~Extensive education on natural labor and birth
~Early labor support in your home
~Continuous active labor support in the hospital
~2 postpartum visits
~Unlimited phone and email contact
~24-hour on call service after 37 weeks
~Breastfeeding education and support
~Education about newborn care
My fee for all prenatal and birth services rendered is all-inclusive. Any services provided to you, with the exception of additional postpartum services, are included in the fee. I provide each potential client with a free phone consult or a free personal consult. I do not charge for extra prenatal visits if we both feel that we need them.
My fees are negotiable. Please call for more information. I am always willing to work with a reasonable payment plan. I prefer to attend births inside of Lafayette County.
Travel Fees
For clients residing and/or birthing outside of Lafayette County, I charge a one-time additional travel fee that is due with your retainer fee. I charge $1.10 per mile (one way) in addition to the fees described above. In addition to this travel fee, I find it neccessary to limit prenatal visits to one, three hour visit.
