About Me
My name is Corinne Jackson and I live in Oxford, Mississippi. I am a certified Labor Assistant and birth doula. I received my certification in 2007 from the Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators (ALACE). I have been attending and assisting births, both in and out of the hospital, since 2006.
I am married to my wonderful and supportive husband. We have a son, born in 2002, and a daughter, born in 2005. The births of my children and my personal growth as a mother have led me onto the path of assisting other women in their childbirth journeys.
I believe that a woman's body is perfectly designed for giving birth. I believe that, as women, pregnancy and childbirth are normal, healthy, and spiritual parts of our lives. As a Labor Assistant, I respect each family's individual belief systems regarding birth and spirituality. It is always a humbling experience to accompany a woman through this passage.
When I'm not busy with my birth practice, I enjoy sewing, making crafts with my kids, reading, planning trips, and re-organizing my home.
